I’m new…

Hello!  Welcome to Fairfield Church, Evesham!

If you’re new to Christianity; Evesham; attending Church or attending a different Church – you are very welcome here.  If you are not sure about what you believe – you are also very welcome here.

Our Church is relatively new, we started in September 2015 as a small group exploring the idea of doing Church in a different way.  Over time we have adapted, trialled things, learned all sorts and continue to welcome community to Jesus, in whatever way feels right.  We do not always get it right. We continue to learn and adapt as we go.

The idea for Fairfield Church in Evesham, is that the service is entirely informal, it starts with breakfast and there are tables for children to get straight into some craft activities in our main worship area.  We all stay together for the duration of the service. We have a small band leading contemporary worship and we follow the lectionary, and discuss the scripture together.  Worship is lively, interactive, complemented by visual aids and Powerpoint.

This is followed by prayers, which are sometimes planned creative, extempore or read.  They are prayers of thanksgiving and prayer for our communities and the world, followed by another worship session before closing to go home.  We often head into Evesham for coffee once the service is over – it seems we just can’t get enough of each other’s company.

A Ministry Leadership Team lead all the worship.  Four teams of around two to four people in each team prepare breakfast, questions and prayer.  We are very fortunate to count Rev. Julian Bomyer, a retired Priest, in amongst our teams as he leads us in a communion once a month.

We are new.  We are growing.  We would love for you to come and join us.

If you feel walking into a Church for the first time is a little overwhelming, give us a call, or contact us on our Contact Us page and we can meet up prior to a service in the week or on a Saturday, so we can get to know each other a little better.  Then we will meet you at the door or come and collect you for a Sunday worship.

You really are welcome at Fairfield Church.
